What a wonderful time we had last week when the TED family came to Enniscorthy. All the pupils and teachers  really enjoyed having our guests visit our school.




The children performed "A Christmas Story" in Monageer hall, it was a great performance.


All the classes welcomed the European teachers into the classrooms




5th and 6th classes  demonstrated and taught our guests hurling skills


and some Irish dances

We had 4 wonderful days with our European partners. Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories

It was lovely for all the bears and the TED family to meet in Eger in Hungary They all had a wonderful time.

After the meeting it was time for the bears to begin a new journey. 
Martinel from Romania begins his trip to Ireland 

The children in Monageer are there to welcome Martinel. They are very excited.

The pupils had great fun dressing themselves and Martinel up for Hallowe'en, and the Hallowe'en parade.

We had a great Skype session with Lea's class 4  in Denmark and our 2nd class  last week. 



We had a discussion about hurling ( our traditional Irish game)  and how it is played. 



This year we celebrate the  Centenary  year of the school and today individual,  class and a whole school photo we taken for a special Centenary  book.
Here  Magnus had his picture taken with the whole school.

Comenius- Sports Day.

Last Friday we had our annual Sports day with a Comenius theme.

 Firstly we raised our 4th Green Flag for travel.



All the children were divided in teams named after the 7 partner countries and they dressed in the flag colours of that country.

 We had a parade  before the sports began.

Of course Magnus competed with Team Denmark



 It was a very colourful and enjoyable day.

Its been really busy in school recently.
Last Sunday 5th and 6th classes were confirmed by  Bishop Brennan






Children took part in a HOW ( Hop on Wednesday)  day as part of our work for our Green School 
flag for travel.





 Otso helped the children make Easter cookies



We Skyped Finland and Otso enjoyed seeing his friends 



And Otso was working in the School garden

Otso and the children are getting ready for our St. Patrick's Day celebrations. We have a long weekend off school and many of the children will participate or attend the parade with their families.






The Pupils in 3rd and 4th classes were delighted with the carnival masks sent to them by the children in Italy while Paddy Breen was there.

 1st February is St Brigid's Day and Boribon learned  to make St. Brigid's crosses using reeds with the pupils in 3rd and 4th classes.
